The area is bordered by Kibuli to the northwest, Namuwongo to the northeast, Muyenga to the east and southeast, Kansanga to the south, Lukuli to the southwest and Nsambya to the west. Kabalagala is located about 6 kilometres (3.7mi) southeast of Kampala's c central business district.

Traffic & Transportation

Normally the area's traffic is bad during morning hours between 8am-9am as by this time, most people are driving or walking to work as well as students are going to school. And again bad in the evening when people are going back home.


The environment is good but noisy during the night as the place is filled with a lot of night clubs and restaurants. It becomes even more noisy on weekend evenings till late morning. The security is not reliable as most clubs and restaurants are guarded by bare handed bouncers.


The area is famous for it's many restaurants, bars and night clubs. They include; Capital Pub, Ethiopian village- a restaurant, bar and night club.
The area is also a home to a few bank branches. These include: Cairo International Bank, DFCU Bank, Equity Bank Uganda, Orient Bank, Tropical Bank and a branch of Uchumi super market.


The Kampala International university is located at the border between Kabalagala and neighbouring Kansanga.

Kabalagala is fast developing into a centre of nightlife in Kampala with many establishments open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
